EZ-Flash I (EZ-Flash 1, EZ-Cart I)

The famous Ez-Flash, this company is still alive today. Of course, Borden left after Ez-Flash I and sold the company to other people, but the Ez-Team is still alive and continues to delight us with their products.

You can read more about the history of this cartridge in the article: The history and emergence of Flash cartridges for Game Boy Advance. Part 2. The war of Ez-Flash and XG-Flash.

Here I will only say one thing, Borden immediately created this cartridge with a USB reader, and here he hit the mark, LPT was already dead, and USB is still alive.

I couldn't find good photos of this cartridge on the internet, so I tried to take beautiful photos of both my cartridges and the reader:

The next cartridge in the EZ-Flash series. It was made without Borden's involvement.

This Flash cartridge won't have any outstanding features, but it will combine all the previous interesting features, such as: hardware save, real-time clock, soft reset, and the ability to use cheats.

It still uses the old, reliable USB reader:

The EZ-Flash II PS version differs only in one small improvement. It has a more energy-efficient chip that greatly saves Game Boy Advance power. PS stands for Power Star.

The third version of the EZ-Flash cartridge.

The start menu of this cartridge resembles a full-fledged OS. At the same time, this cartridge (the only one of all EZ-Flash cartridges for Game Boy Advance?) can boot in NDS mode:

The main thing that distinguishes this cartridge from the previous ones is the presence of the Instant Save option, that is, saving anywhere. And the increased memory capacity up to 8 gigabits!

EZ-Flash B

EZ-Flash B

Website: ez-flash.cn (with a hyphen!)

This cartridge amazes me. Borden, while developing the device, takes the USB port because it is more convenient, newer, and so on. And people take it, steal his design, and develop a cable with an outdated connector for it.

Of course, perhaps their goal was to create a universal cable. At least on their website, they write:

The original card recognition mechanism can write the full range of modified D version cards and various write cards available on the market, with the most complete compatibility.

It was definitely compatible with Wise and Qboy cartridges.

Interestingly, this cable copied (at least in appearance) the same cable as flash2advance. It was also inserted directly into the Game Boy Advance:

And since this development did not get the proper distribution and no one heard about it, it becomes clear that the initial idea of returning to LPT was immediately a failure.

Website: gamebank.jp (not sure if they were the owners, but this cartridge was sold here)

Nothing is known about this cartridge. Internally, this cartridge is an exact copy of the regular EZ-Flash. The only difference is the case.

Perhaps, considering that EZ-Flash was in two languages (English + Chinese), this was the Japanese version (but this is just an assumption).

EZ-Flash Magic

A strange cartridge, to be honest. There is very little information about it. This cartridge was very cheap, only 130 yuan for the reader and a 128Mbit card.

Apparently, it originally came with an LPT port, and later was redesigned for a standard USB reader.

Another cheapest cartridge in the world.

Interestingly, it is fully compatible with EZ and XG readers. In addition, its description completely copies EZ-Flash Magic.
