Comparison of Game Boy Advance SP AGS-001 and AGS-101 screens
The fundamental difference between GBA SP AGS-001 and GBA SP AGS-101 lies only in the screen. That is, they have the same processors and batteries. Even externally, they are almost indistinguishable. Often, they even have identical labels, with the only difference being the model number 001/101.
The base colors of the consoles also differ. However, it should be noted that the base colors of the Game Boy Advance SP may vary in different regions.
The main difference is the screen backlight. The 001 model has a poor front light, while the 101 model has an excellent backlight. The only downside of the backlight is that it consumes more power. With a new battery and the backlight on, the battery life is 9-10 hours.
